One Metal Single axis DRO SDS3-1 with one high precision 0.001mm linear scale KA-300 or KA-600. 

Usually, the resolution should be 1µm for grinding machine. 

And the 1µm scales use yellow lips that more smoothly to upgrade the accuracy.
