The encoder contains several optical sensors or detectors that are distributed throughout the disk or ring. These sensors detect the optical markers as the disc rotates and convert them into electrical impulses.
Code Patterns: The optical markings on the encoder disc can take on a variety of shapes depending on the encoding technique used. Gray and natural binary codes are two types of binary codes that are frequently utilized. Because they ensure that only one bit changes between adjacent sites, gray codes are widely used to reduce the likelihood of errors at these transitional regions.
The resolution of an absolute optical angle encoder is determined by the number of markings or codes on the disk. Higher resolution encoders offer more markings and better angular resolution. The resolution is often specified in bits or counts per revolution (CPR).

KA-600 encoder, which is specifically designed for large machine tool, features in
large size and good rigidity. Support may be added to any position of the encoder to
enhance the rigidity and stability. The length is 1000~3000mm.
