The term angle encoder is typically used to describe encoders that have accuracy from ± 5” to± 10” and a line count above 5000. Angle encoders of choice when angle measurement in the accuracy of a few seconds is required.
Basic Sealed Angle Encoders architecture has three major components: integral bearing, hollow shaft, and Integrated stator coupling. It encases the most delicate components of the encoder, protecting them from whatever contamination may be present (IP54 protection).
AD series high-end angle encoders with integral bearing are characterized in particular by very high system accuracy in the global market. The integral bearing in the encoders eliminates any effect on measuring accuracy from the bearing of the machine components. The Integrated stator coupling expands the applicable range of axial installation to 0.5mm, which reduces the difficulty of processing and assembling related accessories.
Model AD series sealed angle encoder adopts the working principle of optical scanning and two types of measuring methods: incremental and absolute. The high-quality signal output of the photoelectric scanning method and a variety of photolithography processes make the engraved lines uniform, the edges clearer and the precision higher.
In the incremental measurement method, the equidistant grating specifications are 36000,18000,9000 output pulses per revolution. The grating also contains a reference channel of single or multiple reference points per revolution (distance-coded 20, 36, or 72 reference points). The measurement determines the absolute position in terms of the number of incremental signals relative to the reference points.
