Digital Readout (DRO) Systems are employed to display the cutting tool's position in relation to a workpiece. Encoders installed on the axis detect the positions. They have a keyboard and a numeric display. Surface grinders, lathes, and milling and boring equipment are all equipped with DRO systems.
